About Delta
My philosophy is simple... coach all clients and assist them in achieving the possibilities that they create for themselves. Since coaching includes ALL ages from youth to senior adults, it requires more than putting training routines together and counting reps.
A female client may be 26 years of age, enjoys triathlons, biking, and wants to incorporate weight training but has never worked with weights before. Yet, another client may have back pain, has had a hip replacement, is 62 years old, and realizes that he needs to find a coach that sees beyond the youthful pursuit of “bulking up” and has the ability to assist him with a concern regarding the quality of his life and overall health. |

These are two completely different needs and it is obvious that what works for one will not always work for all. It is out of this recognition that this “comprehensive health” service has developed and why I have put together a team of people that can provide the resources beyond my expertise).
We all make commitments toward possibilities we want for ourselves that WILL be met with obstacles. Often, it is not change that is needed but transformation. Transformation is a mental state and is ours alone. By helping clients understand and embrace this distinction, power is available to move from a current state of existence to a new state of “being”. As human beings, we have the capacity to grow, learn, and transform our lives. This is driven by “who we are being” and why. There is profound truth in this statement, “As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he”. I relate to my clients and keep them present to their opportunity to live a business-as-usual life or strive to create what they truly want in their life. This is often beyond what they have believed possible. It is the recognition of this achievement that makes my effort worthwhile! In the words of one of my clients, “he will be the first person I call to celebrate because my dream is his goal”.
My commitment to you is summed up by what was said to me by one of my coaches, “I see an All American in you… I see what you don’t see. I have to get you to see it too.” I did not realize it then because he was pushing me and it was not comfortable at times. And, his success was dependent on my state of mind. “Victims of circumstance” or, “being powerless” are states of mind that we choose. My role as a coach is to help each individual see possibilities beyond what they thought possible. Sometimes we need just the right people in our lives to help us see more than we could see for ourselves.” This is further exampled in the latest historical election events. We now have a new president who confirms that, “Yes, we can”!

Here is a quote I found - "He will fill your mouth with laughter and your lips with shouts of joy." Job 8:21. I thought of you when i read it because you seem to be following God's direction to happiness. Every time i hear you laugh with a client, i can see Him in you because you seem to light up when you help people achieve their goals. See ya tomorrow Delta!!

I am a Registered Nurse by profession but a Mom in real life with a husband and four boys. After my fourth child was born I was diagnosed with a chronic heart condition. I finished a cardiac rehabilitation program, joined a local gym and, decided it would be best to work with a trainer due to my medical restrictions. Because Delta has worked with other clients who had medical issues or various concerns, I was referred to him.
During our first training session, I gave Delta two pamphlets explaining my medical condition and, I described all of my limitations, worries and concerns with hopes that he would be able to help and understand but, I feared he might think I was crazy!!
Delta not only warmly received me but, the next time we met it was obvious he had done his homework. He asked many questions concerning my medical issues; spoke with clients and medical friends regarding my heart condition, to better understand my issues. He had done further research on the internet. This allowed Delta to design a workout regime that suited my personal needs which are unique to me. Delta is very attentive and talks me through my "fear of fatigue" while working out. He is always assessing my physical and mental condition during the workout and he helps me believe that I can do that "one more rep." I have come to know that I can do more than I ever thought I could.
As a nurse, I know how important it is to treat the WHOLE person. Delta reminded me of the importance of eating better. I needed to “rethink” my choices about food that was good and healthy. This is what I needed to replenish myself throughout my busy day with four small children.
I have re- instituted good food practices, positive thinking and I am re-gaining confidence in myself which Delta has taught me. I am feeling better than I have in two years. I thank God for my encounter with Delta and hope to continue my journey to wellness with him.

I started working with Delta as my personal trainer about a year ago. I had recently had surgery and was trying to get back into shape. He listened to what my needs were and tapered my workout plan to meet my goals. My boyfriend and I would like to take a 4-6 month hike up the ATC. When I expressed this to Delta he started directing my workout to building my core to make it strong enough to carry a 50lb back pack and improving my balance and stamina to climb the mountains and trails along the hike. Each person has a different needs and goals for training and Delta understands that and directs you in the way to help you meet these. That is the best kind of personal trainer a person can find. My time with Delta has been invaluable and when I finish my hike he will be the first person I call to celebrate because my dream is his goal.

My Fiance and I had two goals in mind when we started to train with Delta. One was short term and one was long term. The short term was to look good for the wedding (who doesn't want that). The long term goal was to lead healthy lives. Delta has assisted with both goals. She and I had not really trained in a gym environment before and Delta eased us into the process gradually. Now three months into it I no longer feel intimidated by the many machines and the different exercises that they offer.
Both my fiance and I are seeing increases in strength, muscle tone, and an increased feeling of vitality. We're improving our eating habits based on tips from Delta. She had to talk me into joining a gym and seeing a Personal Trainer but now after spending time with Delta I've realized how valuable the time spent with him is. He is one of the nicest people I've ever met and his ability to convey information is second to none. Too many times I've seen someone in a gym say OK lift this now do this...Delta doesn't do that he demonstrates the proper form and then explains why you're doing a particular exercise and then indicates what it's doing for your body. He will work you out as hard as you'd like but the thing that I get most from him is the information to make sure that I'm doing my workouts the proper way with little or no wasted effort.
We would recommend Delta to anyone.

When I started in January 2008, I had a twofold goal of losing weight and putting on muscle mass. I had worked with three trainers previously for short periods of time before I quit them for their inconsistency in showing up on time (or at all!). I then started working with Delta, who has not only been professional in accommodating my early morning schedule, but also good at getting me awake and productive at that time of day.\
Since January, with Delta's help, I've lost over 20lbs, dropped several inches from my waistline, and noticed significant improvements in both muscle mass and strength. Delta's experience in diet, fitness, and body building combined to give me a full plan for reaching my goals. You may only spend 30 minutes working out, but there are so many more obstacles to good health that he also coaches you through.
